An infant doesn't have an assigned seat and should travel on the parent’s lap.
For added comfort during travel, bringing a car seat on board is recommended. This can be arranged by purchasing an additional seat at the regular fare. If an extra seat is booked, the infant fee is not applicable. Please note that additional infant baggage allowance does not apply in this case.
Car Seat Safety Requirements:
- Only rear-facing car seats for children are permitted on board.
- Car seats must be equipped with a latch to securely fasten them using the passenger seat belt.
- The loop belt provided by Wizz Air must be used during take-off, landing, and whenever the seat belt sign is on. This loop belt will be provided during boarding and must be returned after the flight.
- Infant car seats should be placed on a window seat. The seat next to the infant car seat must be occupied by the parent or accompanying adult (a physically capable person of at least 16 years old).
- Infant car seats cannot be placed in emergency exit rows or in rows immediately in front of or behind emergency exit rows.
Booking Instructions
If you don’t have a booking yet:
- Create a booking for yourself and your baby with the usual fare for both passengers (adult as the passenger type for both).
- Enter "INFANT" as the first name and the passenger's surname as the last name for your child.
- Contact our Live Chat agents to change the passenger type and add the infant's date of birth. This step is necessary for check-in later.
If you already have a booking and want to add an extra seat:
- Make a new booking with the usual fare (adult as the passenger type) and enter “INFANT” as the first name and the passenger's surname as the last name.
- Contact our Live Chat agents to merge the reservations.
- Please note that one adult can accompany only one infant.
Check-in and Sitting Together
During the check-in process, the adult and the child will be automatically assigned seats next to each other. Please note that the entire family may not be seated together, as the child will be seated next to one of the adults.
To ensure seats together for the entire family, it's recommended to select seats during the booking process or check-in. Purchased seats also allow passengers to check-in up to 30 days before the flight. For more information, please refer to the Seating policy section. If seats are not automatically allocated, please contact our Live Chat agents for assistance.
