Special baggage
Passengers are permitted to transport special baggage, such as sports equipment or musical instruments, for an additional fee. These items can be either placed in the hold or carried as a cabin bag in the overhead compartment. Different rules and regulations apply to various types of special baggage.
Passengers are allowed to bring a musical instrument in a case not exceeding the size of 80 x 40 x 23 cm and a weight of 10 kg on board.
- The musical instrument can be taken on board only if you have WIZZ Priority added to your booking, allowing you to bring a musical instrument instead of a trolley bag (e.g., violins, violas, flutes, clarinets, trumpets, ukuleles).
- The musical instrument case should fit within the hand luggage sizer, with the width and depth matching the sizer, and the height not exceeding 80 cm.
- The musical instrument will be considered your cabin baggage, and no other piece can be carried on board.
- The musical instrument must be placed in the overhead compartment.
For musical instruments that do not fit the above dimensions and cannot be transported as checked-in baggage, they can be carried on an extra seat upon purchase.
- To book an extra seat for a musical instrument online, enter "EXST" in the First Name field and the passenger's surname in the Last Name field.
- For safety reasons, instruments carried on an extra seat in the cabin cannot be placed in emergency exit rows and the first row, and they must be positioned in a window seat.
- Instruments larger than a cello (e.g., double bass, harp, etc.) must be checked in with a "Limited Release" tag.

Passengers are permitted to transport one set/piece of sports equipment for an additional fee, with the following restrictions: the equipment cannot exceed the size of 149 x 119 x 171 cm and a weight of 32 kg.
Sports equipment should be added during the booking creation or, later, at least 3 hours before the flight departure in your WIZZ Profile. Due to limited availability for sports equipment per flight, it is recommended to add this baggage during booking creation.
The following items can be transported:
- Ski, snowboard, surf equipment, and golf bags packed in a pouch.
- Jumping poles are accepted only if packed in textile sacks.
- Bicycles should be packed in a bicycle travel case with the wheels and pedals removed, and handlebars turned parallel, or packed in cardboard, provided that the tires are deflated.
- Diving equipment with empty diving cylinders, removed power source, or bulb switches secured in the "OFF" position.
- Antlers and trophies with a valid veterinary certificate.
- Other sporting equipment can be transported after approval from Wizz Air. Please contact our Live Chat Service at least 72 hours before departure.
Please note that we cannot provide packaging material. Ensure you pack your sporting equipment following the above-mentioned requirements; otherwise, we won't be able to transport it.

Diplomatic baggage, or any baggage with a sealed lock, must be accompanied by a diplomatic courier throughout the entire journey and must be declared as diplomatic baggage. Regardless of its size, special characteristics, and the required special handling procedure, diplomatic baggage must always be carried as non-checked-in baggage.
If the size or characteristics of the diplomatic baggage don't allow it to be carried in the cabin, it can be transported in the baggage hold. However, it will be considered as unchecked baggage, and we cannot take responsibility for it. In this case, the courier should be present throughout the entire loading and unloading process of the diplomatic bag, as they are held responsible.
