The Airline expands its offering from the Naples base and with the early arrival of the second Airbus A321neo aircraft at Capodichino Airport, Wizz Air accelerates the launch of some routes
Wizz Air, EMEA’s most environmentally sustainable airline*, announces the launch of a new route from Naples (NAP) to Timisoara (TSR), Romania. The connection will begin on 14 October 2025, operating three times a week (on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) with fares starting from €14.99**. This affordable travel opportunity is designed to offer the best value for money, in line with Wizz Air’s Customer First Compass program, which commits to providing low fares and accessible travel for all passengers.
Timisoara, known as “Little Vienna”, is one of Romania’s most charming and dynamic cities. European Capital of Culture in 2023, it features an elegant historic centre, lively cafés, and a unique blend of history, art, and relax. The city also serves as a great gateway to explore the Banat region, an area full of character and renowned for its wine production.
This new connection is part of the airline’s broader expansion plan at Naples Airport, one of Wizz Air’s five Italian bases, which is being strengthened with the second Airbus A321neo: the most efficient and sustainable aircraft in its class, designed to reduce fuel consumption and emissions.
Originally scheduled to enter service on 15 October, the new aircraft will now be operational from 29 September 2025, allowing the airline to revise the start schedule of some recently announced routes.
