THE AIRLINE REGAINS ITS LEADERSHIP IN THE COUNTRY WITH 21 ROUTES TO 12 COUNTRIES AND A PERMANENT BASE
Wizz Air, EMEA’s most environmentally sustainable airline globally*, is delighted to announce it will establish a permanent base in Chisinau, Moldova. The airline will further expand its operations by allocating the second aircraft in summer 2025 and introducing three new routes. This upgrade will provide more than 360,000 additional seats on sale to and from Moldova. Tickets are available now on wizzair.com or via the airline’s mobile app, with fares starting from €19.99.
Starting today, passengers can already purchase tickets to 3 new direct flights from Chisinau to Barcelona and Larnaca (fares from 29.99 EUR) and to Wroclaw (fares as low as 19.99 EUR). Flights to Barcelona and Larnaca will be operated three times per week, while the connection to Wroclaw will be served twice per week. All flights will start from the end of July 2025. Wizz Air is excited to offer more easy and convenient options to visit one’s family and loved ones or enjoy a break in one of these beautiful cities.
Wizz Air’s unwavering commitment to the Moldovan market is highlighted by this ongoing investment aimed at significantly enhancing Moldova’s connectivity with Europe and beyond.
The addition of the new Airbus aircraft to the Moldovan fleet at the end of July 2025 marks a significant step forward for Wizz Air’s Moldovan operations. This will allow the airline to enhance connectivity by increasing flight frequencies on seven existing routes from Chisinau. In total, with the addition of the second aircraft to the base, Wizz Air will provide passengers with direct connections to 21 destinations in 12 countries in the summer, including routes to Abu Dhabi, Berlin, Brussels Charleroi, Vienna, Rome, London Luton, and Warsaw.
Wizz Air is dedicated to providing excellent service and further growing its network to meet the needs of its customers. Additionally, Wizz Air is actively recruiting new cabin and flight crew members in Moldova and plan to hire new employees for the base.
