Wizz Air, Europe’s fastest-growing and most environmentally sustainable airline globally[1], today announces 6 million passengers who have travelled through London Gatwick (LGW) to more than 15 countries.
The six millionth passenger was welcomed with a £200 voucher on a flight from Istanbul to London Gatwick.
This milestone comes at the end of the winter season with Wizz Air operating 19 flights per day from London Gatwick, including daily flights to Athens, Istanbul, Nice and Rome.
Wizz Air’s operations at London Gatwick have gone from strength to strength, having carried over 2.8 million passengers over the last twelve months. The number of flights from London Gatwick by Wizz Air has also increased by 19%. The airline currently
employs over 230 people at its Gatwick base.
The airline has recently announced its #LetsGetLost prize draw which will take winners on a trip to a mystery destination. The flight will depart from London Gatwick to the unknown destination on the 7th of March.
